Chip Shop Gravy Sauce Mix

Description

A traditional Fish & Chip Shop style Gravy, rich and savoury, used by many Chip Shops around the country, will give you the best possible authentic Fish & Chip shop experience at home. Not just great with chips but also on your favourite everyday meals; casseroles, stews and Sunday roasts!

 

 

Ingredients:   WHEAT Flour (Contains: Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Modified Maize Starch, Salt, Maize Starch, Colour (Caramel Powder), Flavouring, Onion Powder, Flavour Enhancers (E621, E635), Palm Oil, Rapeseed Oil, Ground Black Pepper.

Make up instructions:  Mix a ratio of 85g of gravy mix to 1 litre of cold water. Add the powder to a small quantity of the water to make a smooth paste and mix to remove any lumps.  Add the rest of the water and mix thoroughly.  Bring to the boil, stirring continuously and then simmer for two minutes.  Adjust water quantity for a thinner or thicker gravy as required.

Microwave cooking:   1. Add 100ml of cold water to 85g of Chippies Choice Gravy.  2.  Mix to form a smooth paste.  3.  Slowly add 900ml of boiled water and whisk thoroughly.  4.  Cook on full power for 1 minute.  5.  Stir well and serve.
