Fresh ripe Red Chilli Peppers are washed, trimmed, dried, and then milled to a fiercely hot, pure, pungent brick red chilli powder. Native to Central America the Chilli (Chile) pepper was introduced to the rest of the world by Spanish and Portuguese explorers during the 16th and 17th centuries and is now one of the most popular used spices today throughout the cuisines of the world.
