Paprika Smoked

Description

Smoked Paprika comes from a dried ground red pepper (Capsicum Annum), a mild sweet variety, slowly sun-dried to retain all their natural goodness, then smoked in Mercia, Spain, using the peeled skins from the paprika pods to give a rich smoky aromatic powder. Used extensively throughout the cuisines of the world for their earthy rich flavour and deep colour as a main ingredient, or just as a sprinkle to add colour to a dish.

Ingredients: Dried Paprika, smoked, ground and heat treated. Rosemary Extract (E392) is added in small quantities as antioxidant.

Smoking Process: Paprika pods are exposed to smoke from oak wood in special two storey facilities; the pods are
in the upper part and the smoke passes through the grid on the floor from the fire on the ground floor. The process
takes around 10 days.
